Assign workers as administrators, crop, rotate, and edit profile photos and business logos, and new permissions

V 2.17

Available from 19 July 2024

New features

Assign a connected worker as the administrator for a contractor business

Contractor administrators play a crucial role in INX Sitepass, managing the contracting business and its staff on behalf of each client they are connected to. However, these individuals might go on extended break or leave their employer without assigning a replacement administrator. This release introduces a new feature that allows client administrators to assign a connected worker as the administrator for their employer (connected contractor business).

When a worker is assigned as the administrator, they will have administrations rights over this business, and be able to view and manage all connected staff. Any other contractor administrators for this business will be notified via email that this worker has been assigned as an administrator, and the change in role will be recorded against the individuals history log.

It is important to note that it is not possible to assign a worker as an administrator for any client business, and to prevent client administrators from assigning a worker as their admin, contractors can disable this option through a new setting under their business profile.

Crop, rotate, and replace users profile photos

Profile photos are essential in INX Sitepass for identifying users, including team members, workers, and visitors, who are employed or expected to visit a site. Users often face challenges uploading suitable profile photos, sometimes opting for images that do not clearly identify them. In this release, client and contractor administrators can now crop, rotate, and replace users’ profile photos.

By selecting the ‘View Profile’ button against each user, administrators can open the profile panel and edit the photo. The edited photo will appear on the user’s profile throughout INX Sitepass and on their assigned ID card.

The profile photo is now larger in the profile panel, and quick links have been added for easy access to send emails, call mobile numbers, and download the INX Sitepass ID card.

Update business logo for connected contractors businesses

Contracting businesses registered in INX Sitepass can upload their business logos, which help identify each business throughout the platform. Similar to the profile photo feature above, client administrators can now crop, rotate, and replace any connected contracting business logos, ensuring that the logo best represents each connected contractor in INX Sitepass.

New permission to edit a user or business profile and their login credentials

To ensure security and control, new permissions have been introduced in INX Sitepass, allowing administrators to grant specific edit rights. These permissions include:

  • Edit profile permissions for workers
  • Edit profile permissions for team members

  • Edit profile permissions for visitors

  • Edit business logo for contractors

Previously, only client administrators or members of our support team could assist users who forgot their login credentials. With these new permissions, this support can now be assigned to connected team members. When this permission is granted, the profile panel allows:

  • Modifying the username to a new email address, with a verification email sent to the new address.

  • Resetting the user’s password, which will send an email to the user to change their password.

  • Resending email verification, allowing users to resend the verification code to verify their email address.

Bug fixes

Induction training report loading performance

The time required to generate an induction training report for team members, workers, and visitors has been significantly reduced in this release. Reports are now generated in under 10 minutes, or less depending on the number of training records included in the report.
