Meet our teams and the people behind the software. This is the People of INX Software series.
We’ve made the rounds and spoke to our teams across our Perth, Brisbane, and Canadian offices to share with you what makes our people tick and why they do what they do.
Let’s meet Kim.
1. What is your role, why did you join INX, and how long have you been here?
I am a Learning Solutions Consultant. Basically, I create eLearning to help people learn what they need, to be compliant and effective in their jobs. I joined INX as I wanted a creative role in learning and development. There is quite a lot of variety in my work so it’s always interesting.
2. How do you think your role/INX contributes to helping people?
I think a lot of the work we do gives people a positive learning experience. Most organisations need some form of training; to ensure people have the necessary skills and information to do their jobs. It could be important – like creating eLearning to keep people safe in a high-risk work environment. Or it could be a series of eLearning modules about ‘how we do things’ that help to shape the culture of an organisation.
3. Since joining INX, what is something you feel you have brought to the company?
I’m not afraid to say what I think – whether it be on the development of a new product or an internal process, people know I’ll give them an honest answer.
4. What is one thing you have learned about yourself from working at INX?
It’s possible to love your job. I always thought people who said they loved their job were a bit weird and it was unlikely I would ever be one of them. I have been proven wrong.
5. What interesting things have your job allowed you to do?
I’ve learned to use a lot of different software – from INX products to image, video and audio editing software and creating videos in Vyond. I have learned new skills when I needed to – proving that microlearning and just-in-time learning can be really effective!
6. Your favorite inspirational quote:
Gravity is coming for us all. Best to enjoy life as much as you can, while you can.
